Women and children who live in South Sudan face life-threatening challenges. A lack of safe water means disease spreads quickly. Among children, malnutrition rates are high. And with little economic opportunity, poverty is widespread—and hard to escape.
Since 2009, CMMB South Sudan has focused on improving the health of women, children, and their communities. In a country plagued by years of civil unrest, we are strengthening access to health, protecting children and adolescents who have experienced violence, and expanding obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric care. By encouraging antenatal care and in-facility births, we save lives and give children a healthier start.
