Saving Lives in South Sudan

CMMB South Sudan works with trusted partners to improve the health of women, children, and their communities.

Women and children in South Sudan face life-threatening challenges. A lack of clean, safe water spreads waterborne diseases quickly. Among children, malnutrition rates are high. And with little economic opportunity, poverty is widespread.

Since 2009, CMMB South Sudan has focused on improving the health of women, children, and their communities. In a country marked by years of civil unrest, we are strengthening access to health, protecting children and adolescents who have experienced violence, and expanding obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric care. By encouraging antenatal care, in-facility births, and postnatal follow-up such as vaccinations, we save lives and give children a healthier start.
