Expanding Access to Safe Water and Sanitation

CMMB South Sudan expands access to clean and safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene education to vulnerable women, children, and their communities.

In South Sudan, an alarming 59% of the population lacks access to clean and safe water. With few available hand-washing stations, healthcare workers struggle to avoid infections. Waterborne illnesses like diarrhea spread quickly, devastating communities that already struggle with malnutrition.

CMMB South Sudan is working to make a difference in access to clean and safe water and good hygiene routines in homes and health facilities. We use solar panel technology to provide clean and safe water access to thousands of people. We also improve handwashing facilities and educate people on the hazards of open defecation. By providing safe water for communities and improving access to basic sanitation, we help people stay healthy.
