What

As South Sudan rebuilds from years of devastating civil conflict, many children and adolescents struggle to heal. After being separated from their families and swept into the conflict, they faced the challenge of reintegrating into their communities and rebuilding their lives.

CMMB South Sudan has worked to protect children and adolescents who experienced violence, exploitation, and abuse. We helped to reunite children with their families and provided mental health and psychosocial support services. We cared for survivors of gender-based violence and provided communities with training on how to handle difficult topics, such as early and forced child marriage and abuse. For girls and young women, we helped to restore dignity by showing them how to make reusable sanitary pads using locally available materials.
